Welcome to the October 2022 Informer External Attack Surface Management & Penetration Testing platform update.
Let’s take a look at the new features added this month.
Continuous Penetration Testing
Continuous penetration testing customers will find their tests have been moved to the new “Continuous” page which functions in a very similar way. Any previously discovered vulnerabilities will be retained in the new setup.
Jira Continuous Penetration Testing Integration
For you to fully benefit from the new functionality there are some further steps required. Your account manager will be in touch shortly with further details.
Services Tab (Beta)
A new top-level menu item is available called Services.
The Services page will show you a collected view of all the open ports across all your owned IP addresses and ports that are currently responding. Where we are able to identify the running service we have done so.
This page collects the same information you can see on the IP detail view, but across your entire estate rather than at a per-asset level.
This page will increase in functionality over time with the addition of filters and other mechanisms to drill down into the data. Currently, it is a live view of your ports and services.
Optimised UI and Bug Fixes
We have refreshed and updated the UI, making major changes under the covers in many areas. You should find a snappier app that has additional responsive breakpoints. This has also fixed several bugs relating to the multi-selection of assets and totals in the environment view.
Highlighting and advanced formatting will now be present in the summary and conclusion sections in our exportable PDF reports with further improvements coming soon.
Improved In-App Routing
The platform’s internal linking and routing have been greatly improved, with additional clickable links across the various screens in the application.
Improved Vulnerability Display
When drilling down into a selected asset the vulnerabilities displayed on the corresponding tab have been redesigned to be more user-friendly and intuitive. Each vulnerability present will be displayed in a table view with key information surfaced accordingly.
